A good book, author could have left out some of the background info and added more instruction on technique.

As someone who has had a life long love affair with the Japanese Martial arts as well as Asian calligraphy and painting, I found this book highly informative and interesting. This book covers the basic introduction to Japanese ink painting. This text begins with the background of ink painting, and moves into the brush used, the type of ink and the paper and/or silk used in this art. Painting techniques are also explained as well as how to practice the brush strokes. In conclusion, this is a beautiful book that will be of value for anyone interested in Japanese ink painting. Fast and functional
This came so fast I couldn't believe it. It was just what we were looking for and just in the right amount of time. The book is perfect for a beginner looking to learn the right way. It's easy to follow and is a great teaching tool.
