Helpful but old
The book had some good tips but it's an older book so it doesn't have any tips for newer kinds of handy work done in our homes today.
Home Repair made simple
This is simply one of the best books full of hints and tricks of the trade fpr fixing and making things that I have ever had. The price on Amazon is very good. I have found acceptable conditions are like new condition and buy many books from Amazon.
Not outdated information!
I absolutely love this book. It's the one you want to have on your bookshelf in case of emergency. For something that was published in 1995, I would like to point out that much of the information included in the book is currently being republished in glossy $10 Family Handyman special editions - the differences being that the new mags have a few up-to-date ideas, recurrent topics and far less helpful information is included compared to the scope of the book. I do love Family Handyman mags, but this book is like a "greatest hits"!
