This is an excellent reference book for when you need to look something up in a jiffy. It's not exceedingly detailed but it gives you enough information so you have an accurate starting point. Well worth having in any pagan library.

Choose THE MASTER BOOK OF HERBALISM instead...
This is hardly a comprehensive magical herbs book -- each entry might have a tiny bit of lore, but few have notes on practical applications, and many of the herbs I was looking for weren't included.
The best book on magical herbs is THE MASTER BOOK OF HERBALISM by Paul Beyerl. Not only does it have extensive lists of herbs citing lore, ways of usage, magical/astrological/elemental correspondences, etc., it also discusses how to make, store, and take care of herbs, oils, and incense. Though there aren't many pictures, most entries tell you what these plants look like.
Pass Cunningham's herb book and give The Master Book of Herbalism a shot.
