Buy this book for anyone you know going thru divorce or for one who has always wanted a home, or decorated a home or loved a home.
Dominique is in your head and writes it just like you feel and wish you could express! She is your copilot, your emotions, the spokesperson for your grief, your fears, your hope and your joy. She's beside you and makes you smile.
This will go on my favorites shelf to be shared and bought again and again and again!

When I received this book, I couldn't put it down. I read it all in one day. So interesting, Her sensitivity is really amazing.
Lovely Essays
I enjoyed this book so much I almost gave it five stars, but several of the essays were a bit disjointed. Still, those that are good are excellent. She does a masterful job at keeping personal detail out of her essays and writing nothing that will embarrass her sons. This is laudable, but it had the unsettling effect of making me wonder why in the world she divorced. This is a minor quibble, though. I think most thoughtful people would enjoy this book. I am not divorced, but it resonated with me as a mother and as someone who loves her home.
