Wonderful book
As I have become older crocheting with smaller hooks is more difficult for me, and the eyesight isnt what it used to be. But using double yarn, large hooks, this afghan book has provided me with many many hours of enjoyable crocheting with beautiful afghan resulting. Good quality photography, easy to follow instructions, nice variety of patterns. Absolutely worth the money spent for it
Pretty afghans
This book uses some of the bulkier yarns and the use of double strand yarns for many projects. I find that the bulkier yarns are a bit on the pricey side and tend to stick to the yarns that I can double up. They do work up quicker than a traditional single strand. One of my favorite afghans is the peach and cream MAM one. I've not created it but its in my future plans.
Love it! My only afghan / crochet book.
I'm a casual crocheter. I love this book! It's got a great instruction section at the back and lots of variety in the afghans. I like that there's a full color of each item and the instructions right next to it. No searching to find what you need. You can lay the book open and see the instructions and the picture at the same time.
This is my only crochet book. I actually use the patterns to springboard ideas for dish clothes.
