Review #1

MUST HAVE!

Amazing book! There only appear to be three books on this topic in the world----and Carol wrote them all!

Review #2

Waste of money.

Basically it tells you to make very tight stiches using two strands of yarn, carrying the non-dominant color along the back.

Review #3

Classic, but available for less at Interweave

OK, some people who sell this on Amazon's website are not aware that this is available directly from Interweave for $25, so don't buy a used one for more than half that.

This is a classic of a little known crochet technique (mentioned in books of the "needlework anthology" type, but not described well enough to learn there). It is similar to "jacquard" knitting but uses only a crochet hook. Some people find it easier to crochet than knit.

The author has even worked out a way to work it in flat pieces, but for that you'll have to be semi-ambidextrous. The advanced level of the book is offset by the clear descriptions and instructions that avoid confusing abbreviations.
